Midweek encouragement. For anyone trying to make things work at home. I get it, we are all trying to make things work...

Here's a reminder that there is hope! You may be stuck at home but I believe this is where we are being transformed from the inside. Just like a pressure cooker, when you make stew inside something a pot then when you take it out after cooking for so long, it's the most tender meat ever (I'm not sure if this analogy is right) or let's go with the caterpillar that had to be stuck in a cocoon before turning into a beautiful butterfly. Stuck in one place doesnt mean hope is gone.

We are just being forced to transform to something greater.

Here was the last Strongman workout after the intensive 6 days of the @Trainasp Internship course.
.
Central Nervous System was totalled revved up from Prowler Pushes, 80kg Yoke Rope Pulls, Dumbbell/barrel Farmers Walk, Deadlifts, OverHead Presses... then more Prowler pushes as finisher. Phew! Being in this environment gives me such a different mentality about training hard, training smart.

Tongue position and strength. Wait...Say what🤔?

Yup. Did you know the position of your tongue can actually influence strength generation?
.
What most gym trainees often do when they grind out a rep is open their mouth and/or stick out their tongue, much like @linoralow first position. This decreased her effectiveness in generating strength as you can see from her pushing ability.
.
In her second position, my cue was “swallow naturally and keep your tongue in that position”. By placing the tip of her tongue behind her teeth, and the surface of the tongue against her palate (mouth closed), she closes the neuromuscular loop that facilitates a more effective recruitment of the deeper core muscles.

The result - an immediate and significant increase in stability and strength!
