Chateraise, a popular Japanese Patisserie has recently opened a new branch at Penang's Gurney Plaza, the Patisserie drew great attention and lured in a big crowd. Relentless queues were seen over the past few weeks and recently, we joined the slightly-shorten queue to see what the brand could potentially offer. To our surprise, it has quite a lot of items to offer than what we were expecting. The offering spans across items like Scones, Biscuits, Cookies to Puff pastries, Cakes and even premium ice creams imported directly from Japan. The best sellers are the colorful cakes on display (usually fruit based). Prices are slightly more expensive than usual cake house but still relatively lower than some proud Patisserie in Penang.

4 Egg yolks ไข่แดง
1.5 Cup milk นมสด
2.5 Cup heavy cream เฮ้ฟวี่ครีม
3/4 Cup sugar น้ำตาล
¾ Cup raisin ลูกเกด
⅓ Cup Rum รัม
1 tsp Vanilla Extract กลิ่นวนิลา

Today, we have Taiwan’s Prince of Dessert, Eli Shih, to teach Kandie Family how to bake a simple yet delicious cookie! ? We call it the Raisin-Oat-Nuts Cookie! It’s really delicious!

If you like your cookie crispy, then bake it a little longer, if you like your cookie soft, just baking it for 10 minuets would be enough!

The Wayang Kids

【材料】
1. 无盐奶油， 85g
2. 燕麦， 115g
3. 鸡蛋， 一颗
4. 葡萄干， 75g
5. 夏威夷豆， 20～25g
6. 红糖， 40g
7. 白糖， 35g
8. 中筋面粉，50g
9. 泡打粉， ¼ 小匙
10. 盐， 适量
11. 肉桂粉， 半小匙
12. 兰姆酒，可有可无

【做法】
1. 无盐奶油室温融化，加入红糖和白糖。搅拌均匀
2. 分三次将蛋倒入
3. 过筛中筋面粉，泡打粉，盐和肉桂粉，搅拌均匀
4.加入燕麦，夏威夷豆和葡萄干，搅拌均匀
5. 使用冰淇淋勺挖出球形放到烤盘中，在平
6. 烤箱预热180度，烘培大约12至15分钟。 注意过程以免烧焦

[Ingredients]
1. Unsalted butter, 85g
2. Oat, 115g
3. One egg
4. Dried raisins, 75g
5. Macadamias, 20~25g
6. Brown sugar, 40g
7. Sugar, 35g
8. All purpose flour, 50g
9. Baking powder, ¼ teaspoon
10. Salt, appropriate amounts
11. Cinnamon powder, half a teaspoon
12. Rum, optional

[Directions]
1. Add unsalted butter (at room temperature), brown sugar and white sugar. Mix thoroughly
2. Add egg in slowly, preferably into three parts
3. Sieve all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon powder into existing mixture and mix again thoroughly
4. Add oats, macadamia nuts, raisins and mix thoroughly to complete the batter
5. With an ice-cream spoon, scoop batter onto baking tray in balls and flatten ball batter into cookie shapes
6. Bake 180 degree celcius for 12-15 minutes, please observe the baking process to prevent burning
